This trust, created in 1762, was responsible for the short length of road running through Plymouth down to Stonehouse over Stonehouse Bridge.

There are 4 miles of road thru 3 parishes – all repaired by the trustees

3 toll gates and one side bar

The roads are stated to be in “good” condition – no part under indictment for want of repair.
