This trust, created in 1832, was responsible for a short section of road from the end of the Exeter Turnpike to the seaside resort of Exmouth.

An Act for making and maintaining a Turnpike Road from Burnt House in the Parish of Lympstone in the County of Devon to Exmouth in the same County. [23d May 1832.]

Francis George Coleridge of Ottery St Mary (clerk to the trust) reported

There are 2 and a quarter miles of road thru 2 parishes – all repaired by the trustees

2 toll gates and one occasional side bar

The roads are stated to be in “good” condition – no part under indictment for want of repair.
